Antonio Garrigues Walker

Antonio Garrigues Walker is Chairman of J & A Garrigues Abogados since 1997, and had merged up to 2002 with Arthur Andersen Spain. He was likewise Senior Partner legal practice of Andersen Worldwide. In 1995-96, J & A Garrigues managed the European Expertise Service, a specific project within the European Union's Tacis assistance programme to the CIS countries. He is an Honorary Member of the American Bar Association and former Chairman of the World Association of Lawyers. He was Designated World Lawyer by the World Peace Through Law Center. He was Special Advisor to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and was Chairman of "Spain for UNHCR". Antonio Garrigues Walker is President of the Foundation Ortega y Gasset and President and Director of several companies. Mr. Garrigues Walker was a Trilateral Commission author on International Migration Challenges in a New Era (1993, with Doris Meissner, Robert D. Hormats, Shijuro Ogata). He is European Deputy Chairman of the Trilateral Commission.
