Bang Si-Hyuk is the visionary founder and Chairman of HYBE. With his forward-thinking leadership and creative philosophy, Chairman Bang has been at the forefront of redefining global music and shaping the future of entertainment. Since founding Big Hit Entertainment in 2005—later rebranded to HYBE—he has guided the company’s evolution into a global entertainment lifestyle platform centered on the mission, “We believe in music.”
Chairman Bang, also known as “hitman” Bang, is a musician with over three decades of experience as a songwriter and producer. After fostering BTS’ rise as 21st-century pop icons, he has continued to apply his creative principles across HYBE’s expanding multi-label system. Under Chairman Bang’s guidance, HYBE has continued to expand its global strategy. In the United States, he led the development of HYBE’s first global girl group, KATSEYE.
Chairman Bang’s commitment to innovation extends beyond artist development. He introduced Weverse, an immersive global superfan platform.
Chairman Bang has been invited to join the Recording Academy and continues to be recognized across the global music industry. In 2023, he received the Clive Davis Visionary Award.
