Joy Lo Dico is a columnist and executive editor at the London Evening Standard. She writes on technology, the environment and Europe and London life. She has also written recently for the Financial Times. Previous roles include editor of Londoner’s Diary for the Standard, media correspondent for the Independent on Sunday newspaper and contributing editor to Prospect magazine. In addition to journalism, Joy Lo Dico runs The Trouble Club, a network for professional women in London, with high profile speakers including President of Supreme Court Baroness Hale and classicist Mary Beard and featuring talks on politics, and society and culture. She also owns 100 acres of woodland in Gloucestershire to which she regularly retires to gain some perspective.
